BankAtlantic Volunteer Program

What a Difference a Day Makes!

BankAtlantic is proud of its legacy as a Community leader and promotes active corporate citizenship through a variety of programs and sponsorships. The Bank supports local organizations both through financial contributions managed by the BankAtlantic Foundation and by encouraging Colleagues to participate and donate their time to local charities and organizations.

We encourage our Colleagues to become involved in their communities, lending their voluntary support to programs that positively impact the quality of life within these communities. The BankAtlantic Volunteer Program has been expanded to provide all Colleagues with an opportunity to take up to one paid "Volunteer Day" per year to give back to the Community.

During the 2009 pilot phase of the program, which included only Support Colleagues in Broward County, approximately 1,200 hours were spent volunteering at 14 events! These Colleagues positively impacted a variety of different organizations throughout the Community, including:

  • Flamingo Gardens
  • Cooperative Feeding
  • Habitat for Humanity
  • John U. Lloyd State Park
  • Junior Achievement
  • Kids in Distress
  • The Pantry of Broward
  • SOS Children's Villages
  • Adopt-A-Family
