 Learn more about the Heart Gallery of Broward. | The Heart Gallery of Broward is a traveling photography exhibit of foster children who are waiting to be adopted. The Heart gallery raises awareness of a major need and draws the community together to help solve it. During the month of November, also National Adoption Awareness month, a sample of the traveling gallery can be found in our Tamarac, Las Olas, Sunrise, Jacaranda, Weston, and Hollywood branches. |
Make a Statement Against Family Violence! | |
 | The 12th Annual Women In Distress SAFEWALK-RUN 5K was held on Saturday, October 30, 2010 at Markham Park in Sunrise Florida. 60 teams and over 1,000 individuals came together to help end domestic violence. Team BankAtlantic was on hand Saturday morning to support this worthy cause. Team BankAtlantic, through this event, raised over $4,000 for Women in Distress and wass the Top Fundraising Team! |

| BankAtlantic Colleagues Volunteer at Feeding South Florida Warehouse | |
 | On July 23rd, thirteen BankAtlantic volunteers helped sort and pack boxes of food for Feeding South Florida, a not-for-profit organization that empowers other South Florida not-for-profit organizations to assist people in need and improve their lives. Volunteers also helped sort school supplies for their Kids Count store where Title 1 school teachers shop for classroom supplies free of charge. |
| Free Gallery Admission Day Program | |
 | The BankAtlantic Foundation is proud to have supported The Art and Culture Center of Hollywood's Free Gallery Admission Day program. This guaranteed that the Center's high-quality exhibitions were available at no cost to the community on the third Sunday of each month through May 2011. The Center presented six exhibitions in their Main Gallery, plus 11 other exhibitions in their Middle and Project Room galleries during this period. The LEGO-inspired summer exhibition Nathan Sawaya: Replay is one of the highlights of the season. |

 | President's Message For those of you not familiar with the area, Broward County is located in the center of South Florida's metropolitan area, right between Palm Beach and Miami-Dade counties. Broward County is a diverse area which includes miles of beautiful beaches in the east to the awe inspiring Everglades to the west. The heart of Broward County is Greater Fort Lauderdale which is frequently referred to as the “Venice of America” due to the extensive canal system that runs through Broward County. |
