BankAtlantic is proud to support Women In Distress of Broward County

Women In Distress is the only nationally accredited, state-certified, full service domestic violence center serving Broward County.

Their mission is to provide victims of domestic violence with safe shelter, crisis intervention and resources, and to educate the community in order to Stop Abuse For Everyone (SAFE) through Intervention, Education and Advocacy. They strive to accomplish this mission by offering services that include 24-hour crisis intervention through our hotline and emergency shelter, counseling and support for victims and their children at various locations throughout Broward County, as well as, education and professional training on domestic violence and related topics.

Support the Blooming Sales Thrift Store
A great way to support Women in Distress is through supporting their Blooming Sales Thrift Store. Donations of gently used clothing, furniture, household items and more are accepted at the Thrift Store from Tuesday through Saturday from 10am to 4pm. The Blooming Sales Thrift Store is located at 1372 North State Road 7, on 441 Between Copans Road and Coconut Creek Parkway (Map).

Make a Statement Against Family Violence!

Join BankAtlantic on Saturday, October 30, 2010 at Markham Park for the 12th Annual Women In Distress' SAFEWALK-RUN 5K and make a statement against family violence. By participating in the event, you will be providing safe shelter and critical services to families affected by domestic violence.
