Stop Payment

Place a stop payment

If you have a business account and need to place a stop payment on a check, you can choose to:

Logon to Business Online Banking
  1. Click on User Services in the top navigation bar.
  2. Click on the Stop Payment link under "Other Service Requests".


Call 1-800-741-1700 and use the automated Telephone Banking system*

  1. Press 1 for English or 2 for Spanish.
  2. Press 1 to access your account information.
  3. Press 1 for existing account.
  4. Enter your account number.
  5. Press 5 to access account services.
  6. Press 3 to access transaction options.

Stop by a location -- open 7 days a week

Speak to a Banking Associate who will assist you with your request.

Please provide the following information when you place a stop payment:

  • Payment date
  • Amount
  • Check number to stop
  • Reason stopped
  • Payee name
