*$10.00 per person for 2 hours of bowling and shoes. A portion of all proceeds to benefit March of Dimes.

 

Tampa Stores Help Collect Donations and Raise over $10,000

BankAtlantic stepped out into the Community and teamed up with March of Dimes to help babies get a healthy start one step at a time. Two of the Bank's Tampa stores participated as the sole Bank Day sponsors in Hillsborough County on April 23rd to raise funds for the March for Babies Walk on April 25th.

As a Bank Day sponsor, the stores assisted in the collection of donations from the community. Bank Day was estimated to bring in approximately 85% of all the donations made towards the March for Babies Walk.

The Tampa Bay Region stores helped to raise over $10,000.

At the five mile walk, the Bank had a sponsor and check point table where walkers received oranges and water. The team of BankAtlantic walkers consisted of 27 colleagues and their families for a total of approximately 65 walkers.

Because of the Bank's involvement with the event they were the recipient of several awards including the Sponsorship Award, the Best Checkpoint trophy, and the Gold Team Award (the Bank ranked seventh in overall monetary donations).

Thank you to all the colleagues who supported and participated in this event. The money raised through March for Babies and other March of Dimes fundraising events supports lifesaving research, community events, education and advocacy that help babies get a healthy start.
