Junior Achievement World Huizenga Center Grand Opening
On Oct. 2, 2009 Junior Achievement World Huizenga Center at Broward College held its grand opening for over 500 guests. Donors and sponsors enjoyed an indoor party at the three miniature cities within the new 58,000 square-foot learning center. Using these mock cities, students will participate in real-world situations as they run the city and learn about the economy and money management.
We want to thank everyone who made it possible.

About Junior Achievement
Junior Achievement of South Florida was founded in 1959 by the Fort Lauderdale Rotary Club and served just 373 high school students during its first year. Programs now span grades K-12, with age-appropriate curricula designed to teach elementary students about their roles as individuals, workers, and consumers and to prepare middle grade and high school students for key economic and workforce issues they will face. Junior Achievement programs reached 17,087 Broward and South Palm Beach County students during the 2006-2007 school year. It also received a Bronze Summit Award, based on Financial Solvency, Program Impact, Program Quality and Overall Management Effectiveness.
