How do I make my Owl Card work as a BankAtlantic ATM card?

Bring your Owl Card to BankAtlantic’s FAU Branch at 777 Glades Road in Boca Raton or BankAtlantic’s Abacoa Branch at 5450 S. Central Blvd. in Jupiter. Associates at either of these offices can add ATM functionality to your Owl Card. This is a free service.


Can I view my account transactions online?

Yes.As a BankAtlantic customer, you get free online access to your account. After you open an account with your FAU branch, sign up for free Sign up for FREE Online Banking to instantly view transactions, transfer funds and get images of your cleared checks.


Where are the BankAtlantic ATMs and branches located?

When are funds available after deposit?

BankAtlantic wants to provide you with the earliest funds availability consistent with our need for sound banking practices. For complete information on our funds availability policy pertaining to your account, please review the Disclosures Statements section of Important Disclosures


How do I change my address?

If your mailing address changes, it's very important to update your address with BankAtlantic. If you use Online Banking, log on to your account, click on User Services, then click on Change Address Information to update the address fields. Within two to three business days, the changes will take effect in the system, and be applied to all of your on- and offline BankAtlantic accounts.


If you do not use Online Banking, print out/complete this

Change of Address form, and mail it to the address listed on the form.Or, visit the  nearest branch .


How is my available balance different from my current balance?

Within your Online Banking view and on your ATM receipts, you'll see two types of balances: "Current Balance" and "Available Balance". Current balance is the amount of funds showing in your account at that date and time. Available balance is the amount of funds showing in your account minus any deposit, Debit Card purchase holds and transit checks cashed against your account, and plus any overdraft protection.


If I am not a U.S. citizen, can I open an account at BankAtlantic?

Yes.Please bring your passport to the  nearest BankAtlantic branch   to open an account. You will need to fill out a W-8 Form. You may open checking accounts, savings accounts, money market accounts, CDs and investment products.


Does BankAtlantic offer me a free gift if I refer a friend?

Yes. BankAtlantic encourages you to print out Tell-a-Friend coupons online, or pick them up at your nearest branch. Please fill them out and give to friends who may want to open an account with BankAtlantic. The coupon will be validated at the time your friend opens a new checking account, and BankAtlantic will mail you a free gift coupon, which you can redeem at any branch location for that month's featured gift.


How do I close my account?

BankAtlantic is sorry to hear that you want to close your account. Constantly striving to make banking more convenient and friendly, BankAtlantic encourages you to call 1-888-7-DAY-BANK or visit the nearest branch to let us know how to assist you.

To close your account, please provide a signed withdrawal slip, a signed BankAtlantic check, or a signed written letter of your request to close an account. Be sure to have all account owners sign the letter and tell us how you would like to receive your balance. You may take one of these items to the  nearest branch or mail to:
