BANKATLANTIC AUCTIONS OFF ITEMS FOR THE BENEFIT OF THE SOS CHILDREN’S VILLAGE

Furniture, pictures and office memorabilia raise nearly $5,000

Ft. Lauderdale, FL: BankAtlantic, Florida’s Most Convenient Bank, proudly presented $4,890.00 to the SOS Children's Village of Florida, Inc. The money was generated from a silent auction which BankAtlantic held for its associates at the former headquarters on Sunrise Blvd. in Fort Lauderdale. Associates bid on numerous items, including office furniture, pictures and other mementos from the building which housed BankAtlantic for more than 50 years.

“We are glad to see many of the elements from our former headquarters find their way into the homes of our associates,” said Jarett Levan, president of BankAtlantic. “Even more important, the proceeds from the auction benefit such a worthy organization.”

SOS Children's Villages revolve around the worldwide effort to give children who have lost their parents or who are no longer able to live with them a permanent home and a stable environment. Its Florida location is in Coconut Creek.

The Sunrise headquarters is a South Florida landmark, recognized by many by its familiar oversized clock outside the building. BankAtlantic’s new headquarters is located at 2100 West Cypress Creek Road in Fort Lauderdale.
