BankAtlantic Extends Day of Deposit Until 8 P.M. Throughout Broward and Miami-Dade Counties

“Florida’s Most Convenient Bank” finds success providing customers same day processing during its 12 and-a-half-hour banking day

Fort Lauderdale, FL – June 28, 2007 – BankAtlantic announced today that all stores in Broward and Miami-Dade counties have extended the cutoff time for deposits until 8 p.m. Following the success in Tampa last year and Palm Beach county earlier this year, Florida’s Most Convenient Bank is expanding its extended day of deposit capabilities throughout Broward and Miami-Dade counties, and expects to take it fully statewide in the next couple of months.

With the newest technology in processing, BankAtlantic can now accept deposit transactions, Monday through Friday, whether through teller or drive-up, and make certain they are processed the same day. This provides customers the convenience of depositing a check before 8 p.m., knowing it is being processed the same day and having access to the money first thing the next morning.

Levan said that the extended day of deposit program launched in Tampa to great response, and continued its success in Palm Beach. “We anticipate the same overwhelmingly positive reaction in Broward and Miami-Dade, as well as Central Florida when it is launched there later this summer,” he added, noting that Central Florida will take the program statewide.
