BankAtlantic Extends Day of Deposit Until 8 P.M. Throughout Central Florida

Fort Lauderdale, FL – July 2, 2007 – BankAtlantic extends the cutoff time for deposits until 8 p.m. for all stores located in Orlando and the Central Florida region. Following the success in other markets, this new program in Central Florida signals the completion of BankAtlantic’s statewide initiative. Now every BankAtlantic store can accept deposit transactions up to 8 p.m. and process them the same day.

“The extended day of deposit was welcomed in every market introduced, and the time is right to make it a standard method of banking at BankAtlantic,” said Jarett Levan, chief executive officer of BankAtlantic. “Central Florida customers will now enjoy the ability to make a deposit by 8 p.m., whether through teller or drive-up, and have the confidence to know they have swift access to their money.”

Advancements in processing technology allowed BankAtlantic to launch this initiative as a pilot program in Tampa in 2006. Its instant acceptance provided the impetus to take the program statewide within the year.
