BankAtlantic Volunteers Team Up With Kids Ecology Corps

          FORT LAUDERDALE, Florida – May 28, 2009 -- BankAtlantic, “Florida’s Most Convenient Bank”, today announced that BankAtlantic employees volunteered to team up with the Kids Ecology Corps for a hands-on, eco-action and planting day at the John U. Lloyd Beach State Park in Dania.
         Volunteers from BankAtlantic planted native fauna, including sea oats, along the shore of Dania Beach to help conserve the beach and prevent continued erosion. They also planted red mangroves to create new fish and wildlife habitats. Further, Kids Ecology Corps staff, local park rangers, and naturalists sat down to discuss the challenges facing our natural areas and how the preservation of our local natural habitats and beaches benefits both wildlife and humans.
