BankAtlantic Appoints Margaret S. Pena to Vice President and Branch Market Manager

          FORT LAUDERDALE, FL – May 22, 2009 – BankAtlantic, Florida’s Most Convenient Bank announced today the appointment of Margaret S. Pena to Vice President and Branch Market Manager for the Countryside location.

         With 31 years of banking industry experience, Ms. Pena will be responsible for the management of the Countryside branch along with growing retail banking and new business development in the surrounding marketplace.

         Ms. Pena has served many of the community organizations in the area including
philanthropic work for Habitat for Humanity, the March of Dimes, and fund raising for the fight against Muscular Dystrophy.
