Fort Lauderdale, FL. – May 8, 2009 – BankAtlantic, Florida’s Most Convenient Bank, announced today the appointment of Patrick Southworth to President of Commercial Real Estate. In his new role, Southworth is responsible for overseeing the commercial real estate lending activities of the bank.

Southworth, a CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNERTM, has been with BankAtlantic for over eleven years. He was most recently a regional manager for BankAtlantic, and prior to that, a BankAtlantic store manager. Southworth is also an active member of his community, serving as a board member for Junior Achievement, a coordinator for Family Promise, and secretary for the La Buena Vida homeowner’s association. Southworth, who resides in Delray Beach, holds a bachelor’s and a master’s degree in finance from Gannon University in Erie, PA.
